Today we got sad news. Tim’s recent PET scan showed that the cancer has spread and metastasized to new areas. He stopped the latest chemotherapy that had been making him sick, and had not been effective. There are no more treatment options. Tim’s Oncologist will schedule him for enrollment in Hospice within the next few days, although he's still not down and out yet. So, we’re back to the original prognosis of 3-6 months remaining. When Tim decides he’s too sick to go on enjoying quality life, he will choose a date and activate his end-of-life program.
We plan to live as independently as we can, always knowing many of you are out there whenever we need you. We promise to ask if we need help. We're so appreciative of all the love, prayers, good thoughts and vibes we have gotten from all of you. For those we haven't been able to see face-to-face, we know you are there for us.
Please feel free to visit or call us in the time remaining.
